Commerce Ministry claims success from TIFA meeting

Last week’s TIFA meeting between Thailand and the United States was a success, particularly regarding the GSP extension for Thai products, and a request for the U.S. not to raise the tax for steel and aluminum from Thailand. The Ministry of Commerce’s Permanent-Secretary Nuntawan Sakuntanaga revealed the Trade and Investment Framework Agreement between the U.S. and Thailand (TIFA) Joint Council Ministerial Meeting held last week in Washington D.C. yielded a positive outcome.
